I was born in Hong Kong and moved to the United Kingdom in 1970. I have been travelling around the world ever since, painting and exhibiting while living in New Zealand, Sudan, Tanzania, Pakistan, South Korea, Egypt and Bosnia & Herzegovina. I am now living in London with my family.
I studied traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy in Hong Kong which I developed further during four years in Korea. I then studied art and design in London. My work ranges from abstract expressionistic to quirky townscapes, inspired by my travelling and my love for old towns. I have a unique style mixing both traditional and contemporary methods, combining drawing, painting and collage which often results in unusual interpretations of familiar subjects.
I have held solo exhibitions in Seoul, Cairo, Alexandria, Sarajevo, Florida and New York and also exhibited in London at The Mall Gallery, Alexander Llewellyn Gallery, Chelsea Old Town Hall, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Banqueting House, Orleans House Gallery, The Stable Gallery, Richmond Town Hall and Kingston Museum. I now regularly exhibit my work at Contemporary Art Fairs in Newbury, Windsor and Surrey.
